Founded in 1999, Canaan Creative Education is a Hong Kong-based educational institution rooted in care and quality teaching. We are committed to providing children with diverse interest programs, including English, as well as Djembe and Ukulele music programs.
Additionally, we offer “Teacher Placement Services,” providing quality teaching solutions suitable for schools: we not only arrange excellent, passionate, and dedicated qualified Native English Teachers (NETs) and Putonghua teachers, but also provide lesson plans specially designed by our course team to ensure teaching content and quality meet school expectations.
To date, we have partnered with and served over 500 kindergartens, schools, community centers, and residential clubhouses across Hong Kong, earning deep trust from institutional leaders, principals, and parents.
Our Mission
We founded Canaan Creative Education on the principle of serving the community by nurturing the next generation with quality education. We provide dedicated and targeted teacher placement services, along with a variety of innovative children’s interest programs, arranging and managing suitable teachers to lead these classes. We believe that by engaging in our creative programs in a positive learning environment, children can develop their potential, build a strong foundation for lifelong learning, and cultivate good character.

Teacher Training
Before classes begin, we provide targeted training to ensure teachers understand program content and teaching requirements, preparing them fully for the classroom.
Maintaining Close Communication
During classes, we maintain close communication with partner institutions to continuously observe teachers’ teaching performance and students’ responses.
Performance Monitoring & Assessments
If any areas for improvement are identified, we send staff for classroom observations, and discuss with teachers to make appropriate refinements.
Feedback-Driven Refinement
If teacher performance does not meet set standards, we intervene to arrange appropriate teacher replacements efficiently, ensuring student learning experience and outcomes are not affected.

Welcome to Canaan Creative Education — Nurturing the Next Generation with Quality Education.
It is a great pleasure to share with you our educational philosophy and the journey of our services.
For over two decades, Canaan Creative Education has been deeply rooted in Hong Kong, offering a diverse range of educational programs. These include Native English Teacher (NET) in-school courses, extracurricular English classes, Putonghua teacher placement, and artistic programs such as djembe and ukulele workshops. Our reach extends across kindergartens, primary schools, community centres, and private estate clubs.
Our journey has not been without its challenges—from the SARS outbreak in 2003 to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Each time, we have not only persevered but emerged stronger and more resilient. We are profoundly grateful, acknowledging with humility that it is through the consistent grace and faithful guidance of our Lord Jesus Christ that Canaan has been able to walk steadily to where we are today.
While Native English Teacher (NET) teaching may seem a small component within Hong Kong’s vast education system, delivering it effectively and ensuring genuine student benefit is no simple task. A particular challenge arises as many schools rely on part-time NETs. These teachers often commute daily between different campuses, navigating varying student levels, irregular schedules, and locations, as well as distinct teaching styles and administrative cultures. These professional pressures, coupled with the inherent cultural adjustments of living abroad, place considerable strain on NETs. This reality is a primary reason behind high turnover rates and inconsistencies in teaching quality.
At Canaan, we address this core issue head-on. By leveraging our extensive network of partner schools, we strategically coordinate teaching assignments across different time slots, districts, and educational environments. This allows us to offer our NETs flexible choices, helping them build sustainable working conditions and income that meet their expectations—key factors in maintaining their passion and professional stability. This foundation, combined with our commitment to ongoing pedagogical support and training, is why many of our teachers have collaborated with us for years. Together, we have built a shared understanding and grown side by side.
Staying adaptable while uncompromisingly delivering high-quality programs has always been our core strength. My senior team and I are dedicated to curriculum design and teaching material development. We continually refine our content and create tailored school-based materials for our partner institutions, ensuring the teaching quality precisely meets their evolving needs.
